Megan Shea,
Psychotherapist & Holistic Counsellor
Trauma & Yoga-Informed
I'm Megan Shea, an American-trained psychotherapist offering psychotherapy and holistic counselling for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties, betrayal trauma, narcissistic abuse, burnout, and major life transitions.
My work integrates evidence-based psychology with a whole-person approach — helping people develop deeper self-understanding, greater nervous system balance, meaningful relationships, grounded spirituality, and a more authentic way of living.
Alongside clinical training, I draw on Jungian and archetypal psychology, somatic and yoga-informed approaches, the Medicine Wheel, the Hero's Journey, Five Element philosophy, and Vedic wisdom.
I work with clients worldwide, including those navigating reinvention, relocation, recovery, relationship challenges, and significant personal transitions.

How This Helps
People who do this work begin to see the patterns, stories, and assumptions that have been shaping their lives beneath the surface. They recognise what no longer fits, what is asking to change, and who they are becoming. Their nervous system settles. Relationships shift. What once felt confusing begins to make sense. This is the work of self-understanding, reinvention, integration, and meaningful change.
A Whole-Person Framework
Mind — Patterns, beliefs, self-understanding, and the stories that shape our lives
Heart — Relationships, attachment, emotional healing, and connection
Body — Nervous system awareness, somatic healing, embodiment, and trauma release
Spirit— Meaning, purpose, identity, grounded spirituality, and authentic living. Grounded in psychology. Informed by somatic therapy, yogic wisdom, symbolic and archetypal frameworks, the Medicine Wheel, and contemplative traditions. Practical. Embodied. Human.
WHAT CLIENTS SAY
"I appreciated the integration of psychology and Vedic philosophy. It gave me another way to understand my life, my patterns and the questions I was asking about meaning, purpose and direction, while the therapy itself remained grounded and practical." — N.P.
"I came to therapy feeling disconnected from myself and unsure why I kept repeating the same patterns. The Mind, Body, Spirit approach helped me understand the connection between my thoughts, emotions and body. I feel much more aware of myself, my patterns and what I need." — S.K.
"As an expat, I found it difficult to explain the strange mix of freedom, loneliness and uncertainty that can come with living abroad. It helped to work with someone who understood that starting again in another country can bring up deeper questions about relationships, identity, belonging and purpose." — R.H.
"The Hero's Journey model gave me a completely different way of understanding a major transition in my life. Instead of seeing myself as lost or failing, I began to understand that I was between an old identity and something new that hadn't fully formed yet." — A.T.
"I appreciated the yoga-informed approach to therapy. It helped me understand that healing wasn't only about talking or thinking differently. Learning to notice what was happening in my body, work with my breath and understand my nervous system gave me practical ways to feel more grounded and connected to myself." — L.C.
"As a man, I wasn't looking for therapy that was all about talking endlessly about feelings. I wanted to understand what was happening and do something with it. The sessions were direct, practical and challenging in a way that helped me understand myself and make meaningful changes without feeling judged." — J.M.
"I have known Megan as a professional colleague and have always been impressed by her creativity, dedication and skill as a therapist. She brings warmth, depth and integrity to her work, integrating evidence-based psychotherapy with mind–body approaches and deeper questions of meaning, identity and transformation." — J.R., Professional Colleague
